DHARMA ENGINE
http://www.dharmaengine.com

Dharma Engine is a Portland Oregon based Psychedelic Rock band. They were formed originally in 1996 and played many packed gigs until they split in 1998. There was no personal reasons for splitting except the usual day-to-day life stuff. Last month 3 of the original members got together to explore the "lost" recordings and realized that their music was too fun to play to just let it go away! They decided to reform the band and found that they were the only remaining members still living in Portland. They have added some of Portland's top musicians to fill the empty seats to bring back Portland's original Jam/Psychedelic band!

Where do I go Friday Night? 6/17

Hey people,

I'm a recent (VERY recent) transplant from NY, and I will be in Portland Friday night, with no plans and no clue... Not a good situation.

Can anyone recommend a good place to go drinking and dancing? I'd love to find a club that plays electronica, goth, industrial, synthpop, ebm, or GOOD 80's (I emphasize the "good" only because I've been to many awful 80's nights in NY where the DJ seems to own only the Best of the 80s collections you see on tv. Erk)

I have high hopes for Portland, though...I've only heard good things about the scene, but of course, no one seems to know where to go THIS friday.

HELP ME!!!!
=P

Sure there's already tribes for folks in black, and gothy pinups of all persuations, and fans of swirly and stompy music. But shall we have a go at a tribe for all of the above -- just for Portland? A place to post events, concerts, discussion, meetups and such...

Cheers.
